When I say all the temptation on the Begin with Butter IG page and was furious that I couldn't smell or taste what was happening in those Reels, I didn't hesitate to sign up for the Bread Bootcamp, because let's just say I needed some help. Since taking the Bootcamp, we had a semi disaster Week 1, but Week 2 has gone off without a hitch. We have made 2 loaves of bread from the ingredients that are in the house and it is "Francois-approved" meaning that my 5 year-old will let you know if it tastes like some trash. Plus it was a great time getting him involved in the process. Not only did we learn how to incorporate kitchen tools (like my bread machine) into this process, but we learned why going the old fashion way with hands and forearms makes a better bread. She used zoom for this class, and I found it really useful to have multiple camera angles to see what she was demonstrating. We could see an overhead view of what she was demonstrating, which helped to see what she was describing to us. We could all easily watch as her sauce thickened in consistency, the glaze come together, and when the sugar in the simple syrup was dissolved. I really appreciated her enthusiasm and passion for teaching others how to up their baking game with these easy touches that take a cake from ordinary to centerpiece worthy.
